The official budgeting process for fiscal year (FY) 2020 began in January 2019 when the City Council held two "Coffee with Council" events, and followed by its annual Advance event. From the input and outcomes of those public events, the City's Leadership Team, led by City Manager, will met to discuss budgeting scenarios and suggestions.

The City Council met on April 10, 2019 and April 11, 2019 to discuss the Fiscal Year 2020 budget. In May 2019, in adherence to Section 9.5 of the City Charter, the City Council will hold a public hearing adopting a Resolution in accordance with local and state requirements approving the Fiscal Year 2020 budget (July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020), and a tax rate.
