CITY OF HOLLAND

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL ORDER

Order No.  2022-T-000035               Effective Date November 29, 2022                      

(when official traffic control signs or devices conforming to this order are erected.)

In accordance with Section 18-16 of the Holland City Code, the following traffic regulations are issued:

On Tuesday, November 29th, the Downtown Holland Principal Shopping District is sponsoring the Annual Parade of Lights.  Parade begins on 8^th St. at Columbia Ave. and ends at 8^th and Maple.  It should be noted that 8^th Street will be closed to traffic from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm during the parade and No Parking will be allowed along the parade route.

PARADE STAGING AREA – Columbia Avenue; 8^th – 10^th Streets

                                                  10^th Street; Columbia to Central Avenues

                                                   8^th Street; Lincoln to Columbia Avenue

NO PARKING ALLOWED -  Effective starting at 4:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

                                                  Columbia Avenue; 8^th – 10^th Streets

                                                  10^th Street; Columbia to Central Avenues

                                                   8^th Street; Lincoln to Maple Avenues

                                                   Maple Avenue; 8^th – 9^th Streets

ROAD CLOSURES - 

• 8^th Street; Lincoln – Maple Avenues 6:00-8:30pm
• Maple Avenue; 8^th – 9^th Streets 6:00-8:30pm
• 10^th Street; Columbia to Central Avenues 4:00-8:30pm
• Columbia Avenue; 8^th-10^th Streets 4:00-8:30pm

This will cause travel delays for motorists who will need to choose another route.

Special Instructions –

The Contractor (City of Holland) will setup and maintain all barricades, signs and warning devices as deemed necessary to assure public safety.   Contractor must follow guidelines for road closures or lane closures as set forth in the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Devices.
