CITY OF HOLLAND

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL ORDER

Order No.  2023-T-000031                Effective Date Aug. 7, 2023 – Nov. 2023                    

(when official traffic control signs or devices conforming to this order are erected.)

In accordance with Section 18-16 of the Holland City Code, the following traffic regulations are issued:

Effective August 7^th, 2023, a 3^rd party contractor will begin Phase 1A reconstruction to Van Raalte Avenue. In late September, work will transition to Phase 1B completion expected early November. Additional phases will resume in the Spring of 2024. The roads will be closed to all through traffic as follows:

Phase 1A – 10^th Street between Van Raalte and Washington Avenues, 11^th Street between Van Raalte Avenue and Kollen Park Drive, and Kollen Park Drive between 11^th & 16^th Streets

Phase 1B- Kollen Park Drive between 9^th Street and Van Raalte Avenue, and Van Raalte Ave between Kollen Park Drive and 11^th Street.

These road closures will cause local travel disruptions and motorists will be required to follow the detour or are encouraged to seek an alternate route.

Dates are subject to change based on weather and/or underground conditions.

Special Instructions –

The Contractor (Milbocker & Sons) will setup and maintain all barricades, signs and warning devices as deemed necessary to assure public safety.   Contractor must follow guidelines for road closures or lane closures as set forth in the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Devices.
