Detectives have identified the suspect in this case, 27 year old Ramses Avimael Velasco Sanabria, who is believed to reside in West Olive, however his current location is unknown. A warrant for his arrest has been issued for the homicide.
Holland DPS detectives are seeking assistance from the public in locating him. A $2,500.00 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
Anyone with information about his location, or if he is seen, should contact 911. Do not attempt to approach the suspect as he is considered armed and dangerous.

The homicide victim in this case is identified as 33 year old Cassandra Casares of Holland.
Investigators have learned that two vehicles pulled into the parking lot of the Moran Park Church and parked next to each other. Shortly after the vehicles had arrived the shots were fired. The vehicle occupied by the two victims left the scene and drove to Holland Hospital. The suspect vehicle fled the scene.
The male victim remains in the hospital in stable condition.
Investigators are continuing to follow up on all leads as the investigation continues.

This evening just after 8:00 p.m., HDPS officers responded to a report of shots fired near Michigan Ave. and 22nd St. A short time later Holland Hospital reported two subjects had arrived at the hospital with gun shot wounds.
Based upon the preliminary investigation it appears there was some altercation in the parking lot of the Moran Park Church, during which the two victims were shot.
The homicide victim is a 33 year old female from Holland. The second victim is a 34 year old Holland man. The extent of his injuries are unknown as he was transferred to Spectrum Health Butterworth.
The only description of the suspect is a heavy set Hispanic male, approx. 40 years old with a dark complexion wearing all black clothing.
It is unknown what led to the incident. The investigation is active and on-going.
