Road Closures for BPW Line Work

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL ORDER
Order No. 2019-T-000058 Effective Date November 11 – 15, 2019
(when official traffic control signs or devices conforming to this order are erected.)
In accordance with Section 18-16 of the Holland City Code, the following traffic regulations are issued:
Effective beginning Monday, November 11, 2019, the following road closures will be in effect
- Northbound VanRaalte Ave will be closed at 10th Street.
- Westbound 8th St will be closed at Washington Blvd.
- Westbound 9th St will be closed at the transition down to 8th St.
These road closures are necessary as Holland Board of Public Works crews place overhead power lines underground and remove utility poles. Hard closures will be in effect daily from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with the roads reopening each evening. Work is expected to be completed by no later than Friday, November 15, 2019.
This work may cause travel delays to motorists as they must follow the posted detour.
The Boatwerk’s restaurant will be accessible via the parking lot in Kollen’s Park.
Special Instructions:
The Contractor (HBPW) will setup and maintain all barricades, signs and warning devices as deemed necessary to assure public safety. Contractor must follow guidelines for road closures or lane closures as set forth in the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Devices.
