CITY OF HOLLAND

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL ORDER

Order No.  2021-T-000017               Effective Date   May 10 – September 1, 2021                  

(when official traffic control signs or devices conforming to this order are erected.)

In accordance with Section 18-16 of the Holland City Code, the following traffic regulations are issued:
 
Effective immediately College Avenue will be closed to all through traffic for Phase 1 Road Reconstruction between 14th & 16th Streets.  Phase 2 will include closure of the intersection of 17th & 18th Street to all traffic.  The intersections of 16th and 19th @ College will remain open at all times.
Update 08-13-2021 – Work will begin on Phase 3 on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.   To accommodate school schedules, they will also skip ahead to 24th Street.  As a result of the 24th Street work, 24th Street will be closed at College Avenue.   This intersection closure will cause travel delays as motorists will have to follow the posted detours.  24th St @ College Ave will remain closed until *September 1, 2021.
*Schedules may be adjusted for weather or other work delays.
 

This work will be done in Four (4) phases as follows –

Phase 1 – College Ave; 14th – 16th Streets

Phase 2 – College Avenue; 16th – 19th Streets Work on Phase 2 scheduled to start June 8th
Phase 3 – College Avenue; 19th – 22nd Streets

Phase 4 – College Avenue; 22nd – 24th Streets
Motorists will be required to follow the posted detours.
Special Instructions –

The Contractor (Schipper’s Excavating) will setup and maintain all barricades, signs and warning devices as deemed necessary to assure public safety.  Contractor must follow guidelines for road closures or lane closures as set forth in the Michigan Manual of Uniform Traffic Devices.
