On Tuesday, August 8 at 7:11am, police and fire personnel from the Holland Department of Public Safety were dispatched to a pedestrian vs. train crash at a railroad crossing near E. 20th St. and Lincoln Ave. Responders found 62 year old Judy Engweiler deceased as a result of injuries from being struck by a Southbound CSX train. The train blocked multiple streets in the central city area for approximately 2 hours while police investigated. Neither foul play nor speed are suspected in the incident. This crash remains under investigation by police.
