This past Sunday, November 10 2024 at about 9:50 a.m., Officers of the Holland Department of Public Safety responded to the Super Hideaway Gaming store on S. Washington Ave. for a report of a broken out window on the front door. Arriving officers determined the store had been broken into sometime during the night and the suspect(s) stole trading cards from the store. The owner was contacted and responded to the store and confirmed merchandise was stolen from the store.
The case has been assigned to detectives who are actively investigating the break in. Video cameras from a nearby store in the same plaza captured video of the suspect vehicle (PDF attached to e-mail). Based on the video, the suspect vehicle appears to be a mid-2000's Ford Focus.
Media inquiries have included requests regarding a connection to other break in’s at similar stores in West Michigan. At this point it is unknown if it is the same suspect or group of suspects.
