Last week Thursday, March 6, officers of the HDPS received notice from Cook County South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force that a homicide suspect was possibly in Holland city. GPS on the vehicle the suspect was believed to be in was showing to be at the Pilot Travel Center on M40 in Holland. Patrol officers responded and spotted the vehicle in the parking lot. The tactical team was called in while patrol officers continued surveillance of the vehicle. Once the tactical team arrived on-scene, officers approached the vehicle. The suspect was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody.
