On 05/10/2025, at approximately 6:56 PM, Holland fire fighters were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 500 block of Spring Lane. Fire crews arrived on scene at 7:03 PM and encountered heavy smoke and active flames coming from a residential condo unit.
Firefighters conducted a swift interior attack and were able to bring the fire under control quickly, preventing further escalation. No residents were injured in the incident.
During primary search efforts, two cats were located and safely rescued from the affected unit. Both animals were evaluated on scene and are expected to make a full recovery.
In addition to fire damage to the primary unit, two neighboring condo units sustained damage from heat and smoke. Crews worked to minimize the impact and protect adjoining properties.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. No injuries were reported among civilians or first responders.
Holland Fire department extends its appreciation to all crews involved for their effective and timely response which greatly minimized damage to all properties affected.
Assistance during the incident was provided from Graafschap and Hamilton fire departments along with AMR providing EMS standby.
