REF: Man arrested for Felonious Assault
On 6/4/2020 at about 12:50 p.m., Holland Police responded to the 400 block of west 20th St. on a report of an altercation involving a gun. Investigation found that a 25-year-old Fennville woman had stopped at the residence on 20th St. with the suspect, her boyfriend, a 23-year-old man also from Fennville. The woman’s ex-boyfriend, a 28-year-old Holland man, resides at the residence on 20th.
An argument ensued between the boyfriend and ex-boyfriend during which time the boyfriend pulled a handgun and pointed it at the victim ex-boyfriend. The woman and the suspect then left in their vehicle. No shots were fired and no one was injured.
Officers located the vehicle and made a traffic stop on the vehicle in Fennville prior to the suspect returning to his home. The firearm, which was lawfully owned by the suspect, was located in the vehicle and the suspect was taken into custody for the felonious assault.
The suspects name is being withheld pending arraignment. Michigan State Police and the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the Fennville location.
This incident is not related to any of the other recent incidents in Holland City.
