REF:       Subject arrested after stabbing altercation

On 6/10/2020 at about 4:30 p.m., Holland Police responded to an apartment building near the corner of 48th St. and Central Ave. after receiving reports of a subject who had been stabbed.   Arriving officers located the victim, a 45-year-old Holland man, outside the apartment with 3 minor stab wounds.

Information from the victim, as well as witnesses, indicated that the incident began as a verbal altercation outside the building and ended with the suspect stabbing the victim.

The victim was transported to Holland Hospital where he was treated and released for his injuries.

The suspect, a 48-year-old Holland man, had gone back into his apartment prior to the officers arriving on scene.   Eventually he was talked out of the apartment and surrendered to police at which time he was taken into custody without incident.

The suspects name is being withheld pending arraignment.
