REF: Unarmed Robbery

The Holland Police are investigating an unarmed robbery which occurred at the Check N Go, 1111 Washington Ave in Holland City, on 08/20/20 at 6:00 p.m.

The clerk reported that a male subject entered the store just as the business was closing and demanded the clerk hand him over the money. No other customers were in the business at the time. After the clerk handed over an undetermined amount of cash the suspect ran out of the store fleeing on foot to the east.

During a canvass of the area, investigators learned that residents on Standish Ct, which is east of the business, had witnessed a subject matching the suspects description running to the area and then fleeing in a maroon or burgundy sedan.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s, thin build and average height, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a white t-shirt underneath, a black mask, sunglasses and grey pants.

No weapon was seen or implied and no one was injured during the incident. The case remains under investigation.
