REF: Armed Robbery
The Holland Police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred at the Verizon Store, 1013 Washington Ave in Holland City, on 01/20/21 at about 6:55 p.m.
The clerk reported that 2 male subjects entered the store shortly before the business closed. After entering the store, one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and directed both employees to the back of the store. The suspects proceeded to take an undetermined amount of inventory from the back of the store. The suspects then fled out the store through a rear door, leaving in an unknown direction.
During a canvass of the area, investigators learned from an employee of a nearby business that 2 individuals matching the suspect’s description were seen running to the north from the area.
The suspect who displayed the handgun is described as a black male, 20-30 years old, wearing grey shirt and grey sweatpants. The second suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years old wearing a black jacket. Both suspects were wearing masks.
No one was injured during the robbery and no other customers were in the store at the time.
The employees were not able to access the store surveillance system so no photos are available at this time.
