REF: Homicide Suspect Arrested in Holland
The Holland Police have arrested a 28-year-old Holland man in connection to a homicide which occurred this past weekend.
Holland police were originally called on December 26 shortly after 9:00 p.m. to a residence in the 200 block of W 9th street on a report of a 25-year-old female who had been found deceased in her residence. The initial investigation into the incident determined that the death was suspicious and detectives were called in for further investigation.
Over the past couple days HDPS detectives have continued the investigation and determined the death was a homicide. A suspect, who was well known to the victim, was identified and eventually arrested for the homicide.
The Ottawa County Prosecutor’s office has authorized an Open Murder warrant for the suspect. It is anticipated the suspect will be arraigned later today or possibly tomorrow. Names will be released after arraignment.
The investigation continues to be an on-going active investigation and detectives are still following up on additional information.
