[ARCHIVED] Suspect arrested for shooting in Holland

The Holland Police responded to a report of a shooting which occurred at 287 W 40th St., the Harbor Village Apartment complex, today just after 3:30 p.m.  Officers located the victim, a 25-year-old Holland man, who had two gun shot wounds to the arm.

Officers were able to quickly identify the suspect and a possible apartment he was located in. The came out of the apartment and was taken into custody with out incident.

The suspect, a 34-year-old Holland man, and the victim are acquainted with each other. They had a verbal confrontation leading up to the shooting.

The victim was transported to Holland Hospital for treatment. The suspect was lodged at the Ottawa County Jail. The Ottawa County Prosecutors office will be reviewing the incident for appropriate charges.

The Holland Police were assisted by the Michigan State Police, Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office and the Allegan County Sheriff’s office as these agencies had officers already in Holland assisting with the Tulip Time parade.
