Today, at about 1:00 p.m. officers of the HDPS responded to a report of a subject in possession of a rifle in the downtown Holland area.
Officer checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Based on information provided by the witnesses’, investigating officers were able to identify the suspect.
Officers later located to the subject, a 57-year-old Holland Twp man, at his residence and were able to speak to him.
The initial investigation indicates the suspect did not threaten anyone nor were any shots fired. The investigative report, including all witnesses’ statements and the statements of the suspect will be sent to the Ottawa County Prosecutors office to review for any potential charges.
