Biography

Tim Vreeman was elected November of 2021 to serve on the Holland City Council, representing Ward 1 and was re-elected to a second term in 2025.

Prior to coming to Holland in 1997, Tim pastored in the Kalamazoo area for 9 years. He moved to Holland in 1996 to serve the congregation of Christ Memorial Church and has since served four local congregations. Tim and his wife, Renee, have five grown children, Kendra, Krista and Evan, Lydia and Sebastain, Clark, Temesgen, and one granddaughter, Arlo.

Since moving to Holland, Tim has been an active member of the community. Welcoming new people to the area and assisting them in acclimating to life in Holland has led to friendships throughout the city and around the world. He currently serves as a Funeral Arranger and Pastor at Langeland Sterenberg Yntema Funeral Homes.

Community Involvement

Tim is a West Coast Chamber Leadership graduate and continues to invest in the program each year, particularly in areas of history, culture, and hospitality. Tim has been on the Tulip Time Board of Directors, served as Board Chair, and has volunteered as a festival tour guide since 2010, enlisted and trained guides since COVID, and continues to volunteer as tour guide and trainer for the festival. Tim served on the Heart of the City Fundraising Campaign for the remodeling and rebirth of Civic Center Place. He currently serves as the liaison between the City and the Principal Shopping District, the Downtown Development Authority, and the Civic Center Place.
